Meet the Orthodontists

dr-macon Randy Macon, DDS

Each day, I come to work feeling incredibly blessed knowing that I have the opportunity to help change peoples lives for the better through practicing orthodontics. My patients are my passion, and Ive always found such joy and reward in learning about them, gaining their trust, and helping them achieve the beautiful smiles they deserve and need. I am excited and thankful to build relationships with my patients that far outlast their time in braces, and this is what drives me to provide nothing but the best care for each person who comes to me for treatment.

At Home and in the Community

dr-macon My wife of 15 years, Pam, and I have one daughter whom we love chasing around from one cheerleading event to another. When I have some free time, I enjoy cycling, golfing, exercising, going to the theatre, and spending time at my Bible study. Staying active in the community is one way in which I can give back and help to better the lives of the people who have helped better mine. I volunteer often for both local and abroad medical and dental outreach missions, helping those who are less fortunate and otherwise unable to receive quality healthcare.

dr-collie Mac Collie, DDS, MS

Orthodontics is a natural fit for my love of studying faces and serving my community. However, beyond art, orthodontics allows me to study the growth and development of faces throughout a patient's lifetime in three dimensions. Whether developing the growth pattern of a late childhood patient or preparing a middle age adult for much needed tooth replacement, the result is always a rewarding improvement.

Outside the Office

dr-collie I was born in Greenville, NC, but spent most of my youth in Wrightsville Beach, of course, on the beach. I have now lived in Raleigh for 17 years with my wife, Kim, a Chapel Hill native. We have three children, Mary Mac, Katharine, and Hugh, who are all unique and special in their own ways. We also have a little Westie who is playful, kind, and loved by everyone. Golf is my favorite sport and I try to play once a week. Another good place to find me is running in the neighborhood or exercising in the gym. I also enjoy tennis, basketball, and traveling with family. I am passionate about giving back to the community. I volunteer on a regular basis at an outpatient clinic at a local hospital called Wake Smiles and am involved in the Hayes Barton United Methodist Church.

dr-mccutcheonErin McCutchen, DDS

I love helping young patients overcome their fears and anxieties about coming to the orthodontist and I cherish sharing in the joy of my older patients the day their braces come off. We have created a wonderful environment where patients are excited to come see us. It is incredible to see these patients first as a young child and watch them grow and mature into young adults with beautiful, confident smiles. I am proud to be a member of a profession that has the privilege of "changing lives one smile at a time."

dr-mccutcheon My husband, Ken, and I have been married for over 11 years and have a preschool-aged daughter, Kate, and two Vizslas named Bella, and Scout. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family either in Raleigh or in the mountains in Roaring Gap, NC. I love running with my girlfriends and husband and dogs, playing golf, cooking, being with friends, and traveling around the country. My community is also very important to me and I am pleased to be active in many activities that support the people I serve.
