Did you know that by the age of six to seven years old, many developing malocclusions can first be detected? These early orthodontic problems will affect your child's current and future smile. In our practice, when your child has an orthodontic problem, our pediatric dentists will identify the problem and refer him/her to our orthodontists for an initial evaluation.

At this appointment, our orthodontists may recommend preventive or interceptive treatment for your child, or they may advise to wait until more permanent teeth erupt before initiating any treatment. Either way, our doctors will monitor your child’s growth and development by re-examining him/her at their regular 6-month dental appointment. This way, we will have the opportunity to time orthodontic intervention ideally and to develop a relationship with your child and family.
